Alcohol and young people – a problem of the day

More and more young people try alcohol at very early age. Around 14-15 age began with the so-called. premeditated drinking – in the company of their peers.

The most common reasons are: curiosity use by parents, conflicts with friends and family, pressure from peers, availability of alcohol-related problems with the doctrine influence of media, advertising and more.

But what causes alcohol to young people?

Alcohol belongs to the “most dangerous drug addictions” on a par with heroin and cocaine. Frequent use and abuse of alcohol leads to addiction.

People react differently to the same amount of alcohol, depending on various factors – emotional and physical condition, social environment. What is certain is that alcohol affects all organs and systems of man, especially a young person.

Alcohol abuse affects utmost nervous system, distort the intellectual ability, balance, concentration, motor responses, then can fall into a deep sleep. Worse is the ability for vision and hearing are reduced perception of smell and pain. The mood changes from excitement and euphoria to depression, irritability and loss of inhibitions.

The use of small amounts of alcohol generally can stimulate respiration, but larger quantities lead to its deterioration and even discontinuation.

Regular consumption of large quantities of alcoholic beverages impairs the function of the heart muscle – heartbeat quickens and blood pressure rises.

Alcohol abuse can damage and lining of the digestive tract and lead to the development of gastritis, gastric ulcer and dvanedesetopastnika, but also increase the risk of malignancies.

Alcohol causes and interfere with the thyroid, adrenals and gonads.

It is a myth that alcohol solve your problems!

The truth is that all this affects the behavior of the young man, which is characterized by poor discipline, willpower weakened, often rude and aggressive, prone to antisocial behavior and others.

Drinking alcohol affects maturation of the young man on his ability to deal with conflicts, to manage their lives and to feel free.

There are also socio – psychological reasons not to consume alcohol by minors at all. This old man has not yet developed personality and is very possible even in disposable alcohol:

  • become victims or commit an offense
  • be involved in a criminal offense
  • harming such underestimate the risk of dangerous actions – jumping, breaking use of dangerous objects, explosives and others.
  • to drive drunk or ride with a drunk driver.
